The newly elected Board includes Darya Zhuk, Irena Kaciałovič, Aliaksei Paluyan, Igor Soukmanov, Mara Tamkovich, and Volia Chajkouskaya.

The Board of the Belarusian Independent Film Academy (BIFA) is elected through a vote at the General Assembly and serves a two-year term. The Board sets the agenda for the Academy’s activities and ensures its alignment with the mission and values on which the community was founded.

BIFA brings together film professionals to amplify the voices of independent filmmakers. We want Belarusian cinema to be associated abroad with independent, pro-democratic creators who are free from censorship.

We will continue to stand for the values of freedom and truth – and to seek out opportunities for Belarusian filmmakers.
